Eligibility Requirements for Adoption

All prospective Henam owners and their families must

Have time.

Be able to provide a minimum of 2.5 hours of exercise and training/mental stimulation per day.

Be in possession of a predictable, stable routine or the ability to include your canine partner in routine changes.


Provide a safe , cooperative environment .

Provide an environment that allows for daily, vigorous physical movement and engagement (e.g., no long‑term crating, no life confined to brief walks).

Understand and agree that this is a working partner, not a conventional pet, and consent to the time, space, and lifestyle adjustments this entails.


Develop an adaptable, growth mindset.

Cultivate a willingness to learn, study, and investigate Working Collie cognition and apply that knowledge to the best interests of your dog.

Be dedicated to the actualization of your dog’s full potential for its own sake and not for the sake of titles, awards, social credit, or personal ambition.


Commit to your obligations and responsibilities.

Provide a permanent home for the next 10-15+ years.

Supply updates regarding significant health, behavioral, or working developments throughout the dog’s life.

Agree to uphold a contractual obligation to return your Henam dog to me in the event that you cannot care for the dog, no exceptions.

Consent to the restriction of breeding rights until a formal evaluation (usually conducted at 24 months of age) with written approval.
